Dear Middle School Families -
We have begun to explore the possibility of a Middle School fee-based after-school program at SSCPS. The program would be run by the YMCA in the Fall for our Middle School students. In order to move forward with developing this program, the YMCA has asked us to gauge interest through a survey. We are asking families to fill out this survey to better determine the need for after-school care for our middle school students. This survey does not guarantee that a program will be developed nor does it guarantee a spot for your child(ren) if it does get developed. The survey is quick and only involves 2 multiple choice questions! We are excited to be back and continue to expand towards where we were pre-COVID! We appreciate your patience and understanding while we work to get Afterschool programming back up and running for SSCPS. We have approval to open for K-5 students Afterschool and are working towards some additions to programming for the future. If you intend to have your child(ren) attend our programming, please contact the Afterschool Director, Shirley Zayas ([email protected]), for an Enrollment Packet so that we can start the registration process. The process is first come first serve, so get yours in to get the spot reserved as space is limited. More details to come for the next school year in the Fall about programming as we conclude the current one. The charge is $15/day and $10/day for an additional sibling. All students should bring a lunch and water bottle. Lunch will not be provided. The students will be supervised by SSCPS Paraprofessionals. While keeping all Covid safety measures in place, the students will be offered a variety of activities. Activities will include outdoor play, games, and arts and crafts. All students MUST be picked up by 3:00PM.
Please complete and return as soon as possible. Spots are limited and we will take students on a first come first come first serve basis. When I receive your students registration I will send you a confirmation and an invoice. You will have 48 hours to pay the invoice. After 48 hours, if payment is not received, you will lose your reserved slot(s) and I will move to the next name on the waitlist. If financial aid is needed please reach out.
