SchoolPass Dismissal Change

Dear Families,

In an effort to increase the speed and efficiency of the dismissal process at 100 Longwater Circle, we will be implementing RFIDs for use with SchoolPass. RFIDs are small electronic tags that are similar to parking passes and building entry cards. The tags will be scanned at school to notify teachers to send your student(s) to the door when you arrive. With the implementation of the RFID tag system, dismissal check-in will no longer be dependent on the SchoolPass app to function properly and we will be able to control the number of students outside at one time. Drivers will no longer need to remember to check in each day.

We will be handing out one RFID per primary driver during dismissal and arrival this week and hope to have the system up and running next week. The RFID tag should be kept on the front dashboard or attached to the car.  The tags are not required for occasional pickups and they are not needed for early dismissal.

If your driving situation includes regular secondary drivers picking up, additional RFIDs can be requested by calling the front desk at school at 781-982-4202 or emailing [email protected].  

Please continue to use the old system for the remainder of this week. I appreciate your cooperation and patience as we work to make dismissal both safe and quick.
