School Council

Good morning,
 
I am writing to share an opportunity for families to get involved at our school. School Council is a representative, school building-based committee composed of the principal, parents, teachers, and students. The group meets monthly and serves as an advisory board to the principal. At SSCPS the School Council is an active group that plays an important role in guiding new initiatives and developing policies. Each year the School Council monitors progress on the current School Improvement Plan and develops the School Improvement Plan for the following year.
 
We are looking for parents and guardians who are willing to be part of our School Council this year. Ideally, we would like representation from each Level. Meetings will start in mid October. We will determine the meeting dates and times based on what works best for the membership.
