Dear SSCPS Families,
As we move toward welcoming more students to in-person learning, I wanted to provide you with some updates and reminders regarding COVID-19 health and safety protocols. As voted on by the Board of Trustees last night, our school will follow the recommendations of the DPH and CDC for quarantine, isolation, and travel as indicated on the links below. Governor Baker has modified the travel restrictions to a travel advisory and SSCPS school policy will dovetail those modifications accordingly. The Massachusetts Travel Advisory may be found here. CDC recommendations regarding quarantine and isolation may be found here. We look forward to welcoming students who choose full in person learning in grades 6-8 back on Wednesday, April 28. We are excited to announce that all high school students are invited to return for full in-person learning on Monday, May 3, 2021. Full remote learning remains an option for all students and families. As more students return to campus, I would like to remind families of the COVID-19 testing programs we have in place that are free and voluntary for all students learning in person. We strongly encourage families to register for the testing programs here at school to help us keep the school environment as safe as possible and to limit learning disruptions. Included below is a message from the Health Office which provides two important updates to the testing programs as well as sign up links. Thank you for all you do to support the learning and teaching here at SSCPS. I wish you a happy, healthy, and restful April vacation. Sincerely, Alicia -- Alicia E.
